How does billing work?

After providing an email address to McPools, Inc you will receive an email from Freshbooks.com. That email will have a link to a secured site for viewing, printing or making online payments. While paper-less billing is our standard practice, we do offer snail mail options for an additional $3.00 per month. ***Monthly pool service is billed for the current month. Similar to Rent. So the invoice emailed on August 5th, would be for August pool services. You can pay it on the 5th, or wait until the 25th if that makes you more comfortable. We do this in an effort to reduce bad debt from clients that don't pay. By having this policy in place, we mitigate the amount of bad debt and the costs to pursue collections. This helps us keep our prices competitive.

Pool Questions

How much water should I have in the pool?

If the water level is 40-60% up the skimmer intake rectangle you are in a good spot. If the water level drops below the skimmer line, the pool pump should be shut off until water level is above skimmer line. The air build up will need to be released using the air release valve on top of the filter.

How long should I run my pool pump per day?

It depends on the size of the pool and the gallons per minute are filtered. Your basic goal is to achieve one turnover per day, which means all of the water in the pool to receive filtration each day. For most pools in Manatee County, seven to eight hours per day would achieve one turnover. Exceeded one turnover will result in a cleaner and healthier pool. If you are not achieving turnover each day, you may have difficulty keeping a clean and safe swimming pool.

I heard Salt Pools are chlorine free, is that true?

No, it is not true. Salt pools make their own chlorine. However; sales reps have sold as a chlorine free alternative to boost sales.

Is it a great idea to only use tablets/pucks for sanitation in Florida?

If you only use Tri-chlor tablets, you most likely will end up with a pool with very high Cyanuric acid levels which is NOT ideal.
